As the owner and Head Event Designer at Sass Events, Jess Bastawrous sure gets to have a ton of fun. With creativity that knows no bounds, her genius whips up seriously dazzling events.
She’d be hard pressed to choose her favourite kind of celebration…today it’s a safari birthday, tomorrow it’s a Christening and next week it’s an ultra-chic wedding. A talent like hers can’t be tamed!
Polished, pretty, and oh-so-fab, Jess puts on the best bash in town. Luckily, she helps the rest of us look like the host with the most with her sophisticated and stylish taste.
Having always dabbled in parties and styling, she launched Sass Events after her ideas got social media buzzing. Now she’s setting the Sydney scene ablaze with a fresh and glam approach to wedding and party styling.
When she’s not bursting with out-of-this-world designs, Jess gets to party with her family at home– and they have lots to celebrate! Jess and her husband Basem, a luxury builder, make a superstar team of entrepreneurs. Blessed with two little angels, a baby boy and a toddler girl, they’re raising the roof with love.
Jess is Egyptian by descent and has lived in Sydney her whole life. And she’s now taking the city by storm with parties that get noticed. Throw her some colours, a little dash of vision and you won’t believe your eyes. With a snap of her fingers (and a lot of expertise and skill) you’ll step into the knockout event of your dreams.

Di and I just would like to truly thank you for everything that you did , it was nothing short of AMAZING. Everything was done to perfection. Di was first to see the flowers at church and was blown away at how beautiful they were. once i seen them i knew that the reception was going to be stunning. I walked into the reception and my jaw dropped i couldn't believe you set it all up and made everything look so beautiful. we couldn't of asked for a better job. Jess was absolutely amazing in delivering a desert table that exceeded my every expectation. From the very beginning Jess communicated with me to ensure every detail was being met. SASS Events are amazing women with a burst of passion that was truly evident on the day of my daughters 10th birthday party. The desert table was breath taking and extremely beautiful.
